Currently, the recovery of earthquake-affected residents in the NTB region is entering a transitional phase. The need for facilities and infrastructure development is the focus of both the government and non-governmental organizations that work together to rehabilitate the affected areas.
While preparing to enter this phase, the basic needs of residents such as consumption and clean water must still be provided. Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih Foundation (YPP) received a partnership invitation from Mama Chew 360 Rooftop, a restaurant in Jimbaran, Bali to provide meals for earthquake-affected residents in North Lombok.
Under the banner 'Chef For Lombok', from September 12 to 14, 2018 a number of chefs from various countries such as Dubai, the Netherlands and Australia mixed and prepared food for the residents for almost 24 hours. They worked around the clock to provide fried rice and simple rice packets containing eggs and chicken. It is estimated that 20,000 packaged rice can be distributed to a number of refugee camps.
The distribution of packaged rice was carried out at 6 refugee camps, namely: Lokok Post, Gondang GOR, Lenek Monastery, Kayangan Village and Santong for each meal time: morning, afternoon and evening.
It all started with the concern of Mama Chew 360 Rooftop restaurant owners to be able to help provide good and healthy food for refugees. The chefs who have cooking skills wanted to participate in donating their skills to cook healthy food. This is Culinary With Heart... Culinary With Heart.
