Counseling on clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS) starts from maintaining personal hygiene by washing hands properly and correctly. The next step is to maintain cleanliness in the home and school environment. These two things were given alternately to around 200 students of SD Maha Prajna Cilincing grades 1 to 6 by the Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih Foundation in the Wahana Edukasi Keliling (WELI) activity on October 3 and 24, 2017.
They enthusiastically followed the explanation and practice of the activity of selecting and sorting waste that can be recycled and those that cannot, as well as when following the training on washing hands properly and correctly. The volunteers of the Obor Berkat Indonesia Foundation (OBI) guided them patiently to recognize the importance of environmental cleanliness such as throwing garbage in its place, the difference between organic and inorganic garbage, the different kinds of environmental pollution, etc.
After the training the students participated in games and quizzes related to Environmental Health to increase their knowledge. At the end of the event, the students were invited to read books and watch videos in the Weli Car and received a drawing book as a memento of their willingness to participate in the 2-day training.
