Colostomy Tube for Nayla Husaini

This 1.5-year-old little girl named Nayla Husaini suffered from Atresia Ani, a type of congenital disease from birth or also known as imperforate anus that occurs when the gestational age reaches 5-7 weeks. In this condition, the development of the rectum to the anal opening is not perfect. This condition can occur in 1 in 5,000 babies, and is a serious condition that needs to be treated immediately through surgery.

Using BPJS, Nayla's parents tried to have her undergo surgery. However, due to malnutrition, Nayla's weight was only 6 kg, which did not meet the requirements for colostomy cover surgery, which required Nayla to weigh 9 kg. To consume special milk that can help Nayla gain weight, she can only do so through her nose. Meanwhile, the milk supply depends on the kindness of donors or neighbors around Nayla.

While waiting for Nayla's weight to meet the requirements to undergo colostomy cover surgery, Nayla needed a colostomy bag, which was quite expensive. Meanwhile, her parents do not have the job and income to afford the bag. Her mother is a housewife while her father was recently laid off from his job as a driver.

As a substitute for colostomy bags, Nayla's parents use plastic bags of sugar every day, of course this emergency effort is unhygienic and can worsen the child's health. For this reason, Nayla's parents applied for colostomy bags to a number of social organizations including YPP. Thanks to the kindness of SCTV and Indosiar viewers who donated their kindness through the Yayasan Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih SCTV Indosiar account, on October 16, 2019 YPP handed over colostomy bags to Nayla's parents. Hopefully this assistance can ease a little burden on Nayla's parents and maintain her daughter's health to focus on weight gain. So that Nayla Husaini can immediately undergo colostomy closure surgery. Thank you SCTV Indosiar viewers for your kindness. Continue to donate your kindness, because our care is their hope.
