Development Progress of Medana Temple in North Lombok

After being hit by the Lombok earthquake some time ago, Medana Temple which is located in Medana Village, North Lombok, can no longer be used for worship. This main temple with a large number of devotees has an important role not only for the Hindu community in North Lombok, but also for people of other religions. This is because the temple has historical value as a temple of the Balinese royal era, so in addition to being a place of worship, the temple also functions as a tourist destination.

Utilizing donations from Indosiar-SCTV viewers, YPP rebuilt the temple in a location determined by Parisade Hindhu Dharma Mataram. Currently, the construction of the temple is still in its early stages as it requires discussions between religious leaders and the local community, as well as various traditional ceremonies that must be performed before the construction is carried out. For this construction, the contractor used by YPP is CV Mitra Tanjung Berlian and has started on July 20, 2019.
