Distribution of 1,300 School Bag Packages for 6 Elementary Schools in Padangsidempuan, North Sumatra

A total of 1,300 school bag packages were distributed to children affected by flash floods in March 2017 in Padangsidempuan, North Sumatra. School bags, notebooks, and other equipment were distributed to 6 elementary schools in order to welcome the new school year, and give a little encouragement to children whose homes were damaged or washed away by the flood.

The 6 elementary schools that received the bag package distribution are:
1. SD 200-203 Sitamiang
2. SD 200-202
3. SD 200-209
4. SD 200-207
5. SD 200-302 Batunadua
6. SD 200-306

Assisted by local volunteers and transmission staff, in addition to 1,300 bag packages, 300 blankets and 500 Cap Lang wind oil were also distributed to flood-affected residents. It is hoped that this bag package assistance can increase the enthusiasm for learning of Padangsidempuan children.
