December 27, 2018, the YPP Team in collaboration with the Medical Team of Yayasan Karya Alfa Omega (YKAO) and Village Volunteers, brought medical assistance and logistics to Cimenteng Village, Taman Jaya Village and Ujung Jaya Village which are the most remote villages in Sumur District, Pandeglang Regency and located quite close to Ujung Kulon and Mount Anak Krakatau. After passing through quite heavy terrain and unfriendly weather, the YPP and YKAO Team succeeded in providing health services for 70 patients consisting mainly of children and women, because the men returned to supervise their respective homes. A total of 125 bags of rice @ 5kg, 8 cartons of sardines, 50 baby diapers, 25 boxes of mineral water and 3 boxes of sanitary napkins, were handed over to 200 refugee families.
It is hoped that this assistance can reduce some of the burden and trauma of residents affected by the Sunda Strait tsunami.
