
Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs, Juliari P. Batubara received 10,000 food packages from Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih Foundation (YPP) in the framework of Emtek Cares for Corona which was handed over by SCM CSR Director who is also President Director of Indosiar as Chairman of YPP, Drs. Imam Sudjarwo, M.Si. at the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs office. The package is the result of donations from viewers of SCTV, Indosiar and also Serbu Seru Bukalapak participants in dealing with the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
This basic food assistance will be distributed by the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) to people affected by Covid-19, including the Social Pillars, Warakawuri, Veterans, Independence Pioneers, and Widows of Independence Pioneers. "This assistance is very meaningful for the people of Indonesia, we really hope for the involvement of the business world, so that together we fight to end this Covid pandemic so that we can return to normal life," said Juliari P. Batubara.
The Minister of Social Affairs also explained that the government is focusing on three things in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic. The first is health; the second is social protection which really needs the cooperation of all parties, not only the central and regional governments, but also including the business world; and the third is economic recovery, it is expected that the end of May will be the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic.
On that occasion, the Chairman of YPP emphasized that apart from the 10,000 basic food packages for the community which were handed over through the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, YPP in the framework of Emtek Cares for Corona will also still deliver 10,000 basic food packages in collaboration with Bukalapak Mitra stalls at 50 points spread across Jabodetabek.
