Free Cataract Surgeries in Malang and Blitar

On November 23, 2023, YPP extended support for the Free Cataract Surgery Social Service Program organized by the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs in Malang City and Regency, East Java with a target of 100 eyes healed.

The Ministry of Social Affairs has routinely organized this program in an effort to eradicate and overcome a "Tsunami" of Cataract Blindness throughout Indonesia. As a result, the Free Cataract Surgery Social Service program is on its way to execution in every region of Indonesia. 

In Malang City, the surgeries took place in Panti Nirmala Hospital and Kanjuruhan Regional Hospital, while the surgeries in Blitar City took place in Ngudi Waluyo Blitar Regional Hospital and Srengat Blitar Regional Hospital.

 

The program was also attended by  Ahmad Basarah, Deputy Chair of the Indonesian MPR, together with Romi Soekarno and Bung Karno's family.
