Free Cataract Surgery in Kutoarjo

Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih Foundation (YPP) SCTV Indosiar in collaboration with Sint Louis PanGa Foundation, PT. MAP, and Central Java Perdami Cataract Blindness Management Section (SPBK Jateng) held a Cataract Surgery Social Service at Palang Biru Hospital, Kutoarjo, Purworejo, Central Java on June 29-30, 2024.

This event was attended by Muspika Kutoarjo; Chairman of Central Java Perdami, dr Arif Wildan Sp.M (K); Chairman of Central Java SPBK, dr A Rizal Fanany Sp.M (K); Central Java Perdami Team; President Director of Central Java Blue Cross Hospital, Dr Iwan Santosa; Sr Alexandra ADM; Director of PT MAP, Mrs. Liani Hidayat; Chairman of Swana Santa Foundation, Sr Paskalia ADM; and Mr. Steve as a representative of Sint Louis PanGa Foundation.

A total of 32 patients had successfully operated. Patients not only came from Kutoarjo, but also from Purworejo and other areas of Central Java. This Cataract Surgery Social Service activity is very beneficial, especially for patients who do not have BPJS. Patients come from various backgrounds such as farm laborers, builders, carpenters, elderly, nursing home residents, and so on.

The Chairman of Perdami and President Director of Blue Cross Hospital appreciated YPP SCTV Indosiar and donor partners for ensuring the event could run smoothly and well, and hoped that cooperation could continue in the future.
