Free Cataract Surgery in Lhokseumawe

Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih Foundation (YPP) SCTV Indosiar, in collaboration with Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs and the Central Management of Cataract Blindness Management Section (SPBK PP) Perdami, organized a Cataract Surgery Social Service in commemoration of the 28th National Senior Day at Cut Meutia General Hospital, Lhokseumawe, North Aceh Regency, Aceh Province, on 28-29 May 2024.

This activity was conducted with the support of 22 ophthalmologists and 16 team members. A total of 275 cataract patients were successfully operated.

Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs, Dr. Ir. Hj. Tri Rismaharini, M.T. monitored the cataract surgery and talked with the patients. The Minister gave awards to the medical team and YPP SCTV Indosiar for their commitment to always supporting the government to combat cataract blindness in Indonesia.
