Handover of Clean Water Distribution Facility of Master Meter Program in Wonosari, Surabaya

On January 27, 2019, the Chairman of YPP SCTV - Indosiar handed over the Master Meter Program clean water supply facility to Mustari, Chairman of KSM Al Hidayah, Wonosari 3 DKA, Kel. Pengirikan, Kec. Semampir, Surabaya, which is located on the edge of the railroad tracks. The Master Meter Program is a collaboration between YPP, IUWASH, YISI and PDAM Surabaya, the construction of which began in August 2018.

IUWASH and YISI conducted socialization and maturation for the community to form a Community Self Help Group (KSM) that is tasked with managing the water supplied by the PDAM, but does not reach the KSM area. Meanwhile, YPP through community donations financed the infrastructure used to deliver water from the PDAM master meter to the houses of 21 KSM members. With this program, residents can save money on clean water purchases for daily needs.

Attending the handover ceremony, KPI Central Commissioner Ubaidillah positively assessed the social role of SCTV-Indosiar broadcasting media through this activity.
