Medical services are urgently needed by tsunami-affected residents, given the possibility of many people being injured during the tsunami, but only felt after the disaster was over, as well as the need to maintain health when having to survive in refugee camps. With this in mind, since December 26, the YPP Team, in collaboration with the Medical Team of Karya Alfa Omega Foundation (YKAO) and Yayasan Relawan Kampung, visited disaster locations that have not been touched / still lacking assistance, to hold public medical treatment and distribution of aid obtained from the Company and SCTV-Indosiar Viewers.
After the previous two locations, the third location visited by the team on December 28, 2018 was the Refugee Post in Taman Jaya Village, Sumur District, Pandeglang Regency. A total of 143 residents managed to get medical services from three doctors, one nurse and three pharmacists on duty, and 50 bags of rice @ 25 kg, 5 boxes of sardines, 50 boxes of mineral water, 2 boxes of sanitary napkins and 25 cartons of baby diapers were also successfully distributed to residents affected by the Sunda Strait tsunami disaster.
Representing the residents, the Head of the Post (Sofiani) who works as a computer teacher and mangrove planting activist and was also affected by the tsunami, thanked SCTV-Indosiar viewers for channeling their assistance through these social activities. At this location, the YPP Team also met with Mrs. Ida and her two children who had been swept away by the waves, but were finally able to survive and save themselves.
Thank you for the donations from SCTV and Indosiar viewers that have been donated through Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih Foundation (YPP). Your concern greatly eases the burden on our brothers and sisters in need.
