On SBJ Sail Moyo Tambora YPP-TNI AL Treats Seven-Year-Old Boy with Cataracts Since 4 Months Old (Part 2)

On September 8 to 10, 2018, YPP and the Navy continued the Social Service at the Surya Bhaskara Jaya (SBJ) Sail Moyo Tambora 2018 activity location in Badas Village, Labuhan Badas Sub-District, Sumbawa Besar Regency. In this location, circumcision and cataract surgery activities were carried out on the Hospital Ship, KRI dr, Soeharso.

Among the cataract patients treated by the Navy Medical Team that day was a boy named Khairul Akbar (7 years old) who has had cataracts since the age of 4 months. The presence of KRI dr. Soeharso and the cataract surgery service by YPP - TNI AL raised the boy's hopes of having his eyes treated.

Accompanied by his grandmother, Fatimah, Kahirul had his eyes checked. After undergoing a screening process by an ophthalmologist to determine his health condition and physical readiness, Khairul underwent surgery. Fatimah hopes that her grandson can recover from cataracts and see normally.

Among the health service activities, Fleet II Commander Rear Admiral Didik Setiyono S.E, M.M reviewed the activities and greeted the patients. According to Pangarmada II, SBJ is an annual program implemented by the Navy as a form of Navy service to the community in order to help public health. In this second location activity on September 8-10, 2018, the SBJ medical team has served 37 cataract patients and 78 circumcisions.
