Yayasan Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih (YPP) SCTV Indosiar and Yayasan Lindungi Hutan held an activity of planting 1000 Sea Spruce tree seedlings in Brebes on December 18, 2024.
The Sea Spruce, known for its resistance to strong winds and saltwater, was chosen to protect Brebes' coastline. These plants are able to prevent abrasion, reduce the impact of high waves, and create habitats for various plants and animals. This program is not just about planting trees, but a long-term investment to protect the coast from natural disasters and improve the quality of the environment.
The event was directly attended by the Chairman of YPP, Mr. Imam Sudjarwo.
According to Mr. Imam Sudjarwo, this activity was held to support the government's Ecogreen program.
The planting of 1,000 Sea Spruce trees in Brebes is not just an action for the day, but also a step towards sustainable change. The trees planted are expected to grow into coastal protection, absorb carbon dioxide, and provide ecological benefits for future generations.
