The Story of Fico

The eyes of Orias C. Humau (38) were a little teary as he looked at his son Fico Oriazdav Humau (2) after waking up from anesthesia on his bed at Hermina Hospital, Jakarta. What was different about his only son was that Fico's upper lip was still covered with a bandage. 

It has been a 2-month wait for Orias and his wife Yublina Batmalo (35) since they requested help from Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih Foundation (YPP) for their son to undergo cleft lip and palate surgery. After undergoing therapy for 2 months, today his son finished the operation handled by Dr. Aditya Wardhana Sp.BP, a plastic surgeon from Hermina Hospital. 

The therapy was handled by drg Julieta Pancawati Sp.Ort. FCFO from RSCM to close the distance of the lips that will be operated on. This step must be done so that the results of the operation can be maximized. 

Orias, who was unemployed for a long time, is currently working as a freelance laborer at a shop, cannot hide his gratitude for the smooth operation process and hopes that his son can grow and develop better like other normal children.
