YPP and Indosiar Hand Over Library Car to Major Rizky Aditya to Encourage Papuan Children to Read

As part of Indosiar's 25th Anniversary in collaboration with YPP, we organized the Heroes at the Border event. The purpose of this activity is to give awards for various hard work carried out outside of their main duties. One of them was carried out by Major Rizki Aditya who served at Korem 174/ATW Merauke.

On February 19, YPP handed over donations of smart cars, reading book packages and 1 unit of generator for the Yonif 411 Merauke Task Force. Together with Major Rizki Aditya, this task force is not only tasked with guarding and escorting the border area, but also actively conducting activities to eradicate illiteracy for children on the Merauke border. The facility handover ceremony was held at the 174/ATW Military Resort Command in Merauke. This smart car, according to the plan, is a pilot for the Task Force to later create a reading park for native Merauke children. Deputy Commander of Colaskopsrem 174/ATW, Colonel Ketut Adi Suasta Putra, who chaired the event, said that Papuan children have a very high interest in reading and learning but are constrained by the lack of school facilities. Moreover, most of them live in the interior of the forest far from the city. The high level of interest and curiosity often makes the reading books provided by the Task Force brought home so that they can be read in their homes.
