YPP Inaugurates and Hand Over a Number of Projects in Palu, Sigi and Donggala (Phase-2)

Earlier last week, for several days, Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih Foundation (YPP) SCTV Indosiar team represented by Abbas Yahya and Petrus Dananjoyo conducted a series of handover activities for a number of post-earthquake rehabilitation projects in Palu, Sigi and Donggala. The various rehabilitations include: Filadelfia Church repair, school supplies for Al Kautsar Orphanage and Nursing Home, SMA 1 Sirenja, supplies for Al Iqra Mosque, 2nd phase handover of 17 fishing boats in Donggala and Palu, rehabilitation of Al Aqsha Mosque, Tondo and Nurul Khairaat Mosque, Watutela. The entire project was built from donations from SCTV and Indosiar viewers through Yayasan Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih in the 2019 Peduli Palu fundraising program broadcast on SCTV and Indosiar as part of the two companies' CSR activities. This complements YPP's disaster response activities in the form of logistical assistance that was provided in the early days of Palu, Sigi and Donggala affected by the Earthquake and Liquefaction.

The following are the handover activities at each of these locations:

  1. Traditional Fishing Boat Shipyard in Donggala.

After handing over the first batch of boats some time ago, YPP handed over the second batch of 17 fishing boats on the coast of Palu Bay and Donggala which are members of the Teluk Palu Lestari Fishermen Community. In total, YPP has distributed 27 boats in the form of viewers' donations. Head of SCTV CSR Division / YPP Executive Chairman, Abbas Yahya handed over and inaugurated the use of the boat witnessed by the Chairman of the Teluk Palu Lestari Fishermen Community, Ricky and a number of other invitees. Each boat handed over to the fishermen was equipped with a 13 PK boat engine; 3 buoys; fishing nets; hooks; tarpaulins; red and white flags and YPP flags.

In his speech, Abas Yahya hoped that the viewers' donations could motivate the fishermen to get abundant results, so that they could support their families. "Don't forget to always pray and ask for family support in every sailing activity and smooth life," he said. Also enlivening the atmosphere of the inauguration and handover ceremony were Cici and Koko Central Sulawesi. They are Central Sulawesi tourism icons such as Abang and None Jakarta or Cak and Ning Surabaya. In the handover and inauguration of boats for fishermen, Cici Neydian from Toraja and Koko Marcelo from Tentena, Poso were present.
