YPP inaugurates and hands over a number of projects in Palu, Sigi and Donggala (Bag-1)

Early last week, for several days, the Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih Foundation Team (YPP) SCTV Indosiar represented by Abbas Yahya and Petrus Dananjoyo carried out a series of handover activities for a number of post-earthquake rehabilitation projects in the Palu, Sigi and Donggala areas. The various rehabilitations include: Filadelfia Church repair, school supplies for Al Kautsar Orphanage and Nursing Home, SMA 1 Sirenja, supplies for Al Iqra Mosque, handover of phase 2 17 fishing boats in Donggala and Palu, rehabilitation of Al Aqsha Mosque, Tondo and Nurul Khairaat Mosque, Watutela.

The entire project was built from donations from SCTV and Indosiar viewers through Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih Foundation in the 2019 Peduli Palu fundraising program broadcast on SCTV and Indosiar as part of the two companies' CSR activities. This complements YPP's disaster response activities in the form of logistical assistance that was provided in the early days of Palu, Sigi and Donggala affected by the Earthquake and Liquefaction.

The following are the handover activities at each of these locations:

1. GPPS Filadelfia Church, Kulawi

SCTV CSR Director who is also the Chief Executive of YPP, Abbas Yahya inaugurated the completion of the rehabilitation of GPPS Filadelfia Church, Kulawi on March 15, 2020. The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Sigi Regency, Muspika, church administrators, community leaders and congregation.

2. Al Kautsar Orphanage and Nursing Home, Palu.

At this location, YPP made donations to rehabilitate the two buildings and also provided school packages for 30 children and activity kits for the elderly. The inauguration and handover activities held on March 17, 2020 were attended by the Chairman of the Al Kautsar Foundation, Sabrin O Ladongi, orphanage administrators and residents as well as the Head of the SCTV-Indosiar Transmission Station, Palu.

3. Senior High School Complex 1 Sirenja, Donggala

In the SMA 1 Sirenja complex, YPP not only repaired the building but also a number of other supporting equipment such as tables and chairs for teachers and students, sports fields, ceremonial fields, Al Iqra Mosque and supporting equipment. A number of officials attended the handover and inauguration ceremony held on March 18, 2020. All funding for the rehabilitation of the building and supporting equipment came from donations from the community and viewers of SCTV and Indosiar.
