The activity which was organized as part of the 72nd Anniversary of the Marine Corps, the Navy also held a mass circumcision operation, family planning services and distribution of basic necessities for residents of South Lampung.
In addition to these social activities, to celebrate the 72nd Anniversary, the Marine Corps held the Sunda Strait Cross Swimming Competition which took place on March 1-2, 2018. A total of 2,000 underprivileged residents received general medical services, dental examinations, mass circumcisions and BKKBN services. To make it easier for residents to enjoy this health service, the Marine Corps provided vehicles for residents who wanted to seek treatment but lived far from the location of the activity at Pesantren Gontor Sembilan.
All medical personnel handling the medical services are doctors from the Marines, including doctors for mass circumcision. "We hope that the social service carried out can provide benefits. There are many things we can do to improve conditions, especially health," said Danpasmar-2 Brigadier General Nuralamsyah.
