Forest and land fires that occurred in Pontianak and Pakanbaru some time ago prompted Yayasan Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih (YPP) to distribute masks to residents affected by smoke in the two cities. On September 24, through BPBD Riau and BPBD Pontianak, a total of 9,500 masks were distributed to residents in need.
In Riau, a total of 6,000 masks, our colleagues from SCTV-Indosiar Transmission handed over the masks to the Head of Emergency Management of BPBD Riau, Jim Gafur, some were immediately handed over to the RAC (Riau Angler Community) community who immediately distributed them to several locations in Riau that were affected by smoke. In addition, they also distributed them to other members so that the spread of masks would be wider. Meanwhile, the distribution for residents around the SCTV-Indosiar transmission was carried out by the SCTV Indosiar Transmission team in Pekanbaru.
Meanwhile, 3,500 masks were also distributed to residents affected by forest and land fire smoke in Pontianak through BPBD Pontianak. Representing YPP, the masks were handed over by Indosiar-SCTV Pontianak Transmission colleagues to BPBD Pontianak represented by the Head of BPBD, Ngadiyo. BPBD immediately distributed them to residents around the BPBD Pontianak location and to other areas in need.
