YPP - TNI AL Provides Health Services at SBJ Sail Moyo Tambora 2018

The community's NEED for health services is very high. Unfortunately, many things hinder them from getting it: hard-to-reach locations, economic conditions, minimal health facilities. Even the BPJS health service provided by the government in its application in the field still has many obstacles. One of the solutions provided by the Indonesian Navy is to provide health services to residents on remote islands or in the forefront of the Republic of Indonesia every time it holds Sail Bhaskara Jaya. Using the Hospital Ship, KRI Dr. Soeharso 990, the servants of this nation provide various health services with complete facilities equivalent to hospitals on the ship. Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih Foundation (YPP) has long partnered with the Indonesian Navy and always participates in Sail Bhaskara Jaya activities, including in SBJ Sail Moyo Tambora 2018.

Using KRI Dr. Soeharso 990, the SBJ Task Force Team departed from Labuhan Badas port, Sumbawa Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, to Moyo Island, Sumbawa, NTB on September 5, 2018. After a 2-hour sea journey, KRI Dr. Soeharso finally dropped anchor in the waters of Moyo Island. After the completion ceremony, the SBJ Task Force Team using the Landing Craft Utility (LCU) ship docked ashore to carry out Social Services.

The first destination of this activity was Labuhanaji village, Labuhan Badas sub-district. In this social service during September 5-6, 2018, YPP supported circumcision activities that served 18 circumcision patients. In addition, the SBJ Task Force Medical Team also served general medicine, dental, eye clinic, orthopedics, gynecology, ENT clinic, minor surgery, and oral surgery.

SBJ Sail Moyo Tambora 2018 also performs community services including counseling in a number of schools. There is also a facilities and infrastructure team, which is tasked with renovating and building public facilities including auxiliary posts and elementary schools. The SBJ Task Force Team also helped procure basic necessities for the community by handing over several food parcels to the people of Moyo Island.

According to Dansatgas SBJ Sail Moyo Tambora 2018 Marine Colonel (P) Kunto Tjahjono, this activity is an annual regular activity carried out by the Navy. This year it was held in conjunction with Sail Moyo Tambora activities. After carrying out social services at the first location, the SBJ and YPP Team moved to the second point in Badas.
