Media Literacy at Harapan Ibu Islamic Elementary School

On May 21, 2025, YPP held a media literacy activity with the theme of anti-bullying, using social media wisely, and anti-pornography at Harapan Ibu Islamic School which was attended by 100 students.

The Principal of SD Islam Harapan Ibu, on behalf of the school, thanked YPP SCTV Indosiar for this very useful activity so that children can be wise in using social media, and so that they understand and are aware of the negative exposure of pornography which is very detrimental to children and greatly disrupts the process of mental development, including their learning concentration.

This time the counseling focuses on being wise in social media, anti-bullying, and the dangers of pornography in social media and in daily relationships, so that students can overcome wisely and responsibly.

The counseling material is given by Kak Dikar KS, a storyteller & Ventriloquist with monka dolls, interactive games, magic, educational video playback, and various simulations that make children happy and can absorb the information conveyed happily. Kak Dikar KS emphasized that children are wise in using social media and must continue to familiarize themselves with reading because Gen Alpha children are visual and intelligent generation children.

In addition to providing counseling, YPP also brought a WELI car (Wahana Edukasi Keliling) which contains books that can be read by students. The students were very enthusiastic and took turns to read.
