Reproductive Health & Healthy Relationship Counseling at PGRI 2 Junior High School Depok

Most people still think that sex education is something vulgar, even though this information is important to provide understanding for adolescents so that they can avoid free sexual behavior as well as its dangers (pregnancy outside marriage, HIV Aids, sexual harassment, etc.). Moreover, the adolescent phase is a phase of self-discovery, wanting to try many things, and a phase of hormonal development. With this in mind, YPAPK held a two-day reproductive health and healthy relationships counseling session at SMP PGRI 2 Depok on January 29 and 30, 2018. The instructor assigned to deliver the material was Kak Resha, a storyteller who understands the psyche of children, so that he can deliver the material more effectively, more easily accepted and digested, without children feeling forbidden or patronized.

The students were also strengthened in their understanding of healthy relationships so as not to fall into drug abuse, LGBT and so on. During the event, as usual, YPAPK organized a WELI (Mobile Education Vehicle) with reading materials to further broaden the students' horizons.
