Trauma Healing for Children Affected by the Sumatra Flash Floods and Landslides in Lhok Pungki, North Aceh

The Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih Foundation (YPP) SCTV Indosiar, in collaboration with the Indonesian Islamic University Alumni Association (IKA UII) and the Nature Lovers Association of the Islamic University of Indragiri (MAPALA UNISI) organized a Psychosocial Support Service for Children Affected by Flash Floods and Landslides in Lhok Pungki Village, Gunci Village, Sawang Subdistrict, North Aceh Regency, on January 11, 2026.

Together with Ka Resha, a storyteller, 100 children were invited to play, tell stories, be creative, and learn. The children were very happy and enthusiastic about participating in this activity. The Trauma Healing activity provided some comfort to them amid the current unfavorable situation following the natural disaster, where many of their homes were damaged and destroyed by flash floods and landslides in late November 2025.

During the activity, YPP also distributed UHT milk and biscuits to the 33 children participating in the Trauma Healing session.
